Why see a doctor for weight management?
Weight management can involve medical history, weight-related conditions, medicines, nutrition, activity and long-term risk. Prescription treatments such as GLP-1 medicines are not suitable for everyone. A clinical assessment helps determine whether medication should form part of a broader treatment plan.
What happens in an online consultation?
The doctor reviews relevant medical history, current medicines, weight and treatment goals and considers whether medical weight management is appropriate. If prescription treatment is suitable, the doctor determines the appropriate prescription. The clinical decision always remains with the doctor.
What happens after the consultation?
Patients can purchase prescribed medication independently through an online or local pharmacy. Vaya provides ongoing check-ins and support designed to make the weight-management program easier to follow over time.
What does Vaya cost?
Vaya membership starts from ₹699 per month. Medication is separate. This separation means the cost of clinical support is clear and patients can purchase their prescribed medicine independently.
Can a doctor prescribe GLP-1 medication online?
A prescription is a clinical decision. A doctor must assess whether a medicine is appropriate for the individual and prescribe in accordance with applicable professional, regulatory and product requirements. Vaya does not promise a particular prescription before assessment.
